James Webster Sears, 86, of Shepherdsville, died on Friday, March 22, 2013.
He was a native of Todd County, Ky., and a World War II Naval veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lovie Lee Sears, whom he married on June 4, 1948.
He is survived by his children, James Michael Sears and Jeffrey Mark Sears; grandchildren, Monica Gale (Sears) Anderson, Jason Michael Sears, Joshua Warren Sears, Jessica Marie Sears, David Westley McKinley Sears, Daniel Webster Elias Sears, Valentina Marie Augusta Sears; great-grandchildren, Darren Michael Anderson, Evelen Mae Sears, Julianne Rae Sears, Jenna Michaela Sears; and siblings, Shelby, Edward, Clayton, Malta, Patie and Wendell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, at Davidson Memorial United Methodist Church in Shepherdsville with burial at 3 p.m. at the Sears Family Cemetery in Todd County. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, at Hardy-Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville.
