Kathleen "Kas" Hartlage, 85, of Shepherdsville, died on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Baptist East Hospital.
She was a retired secretary having worked 40 years with three different agents with State Farm Insurance. She has also served on Board of Adjustment and the Shepherdsville Ethics Committee.
She was preceded by her parents, Mary Rose Hough and Walter b. Mattingly; a sister, Betty Mattingly; and a son-in-law, Gary Reesor
She is survived by two children, Sherry Reesor and Mary Anne (Steve) Hartlage; three granddaughters, Melissa (Rob) Mattingly, Stephanie (John) Ledford; and Stephanie (Derrick) Williams; five great-grandchildren, Tristan, Breana, Shelby, Isaac and Samuel; two step-great-grandchildren, Cody and Jayson; traveling companion, Jean Hatzell; and four caregivers, Pat, Christina, Hana and Donna.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, at Hardy Close Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation was from 12-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Memorial contributions in her memory may go to Kosair Childrens Charties or Crusade for Children.
