Kenneth Edward Underwood, 79, of Lebanon Junction, died on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012.
The native of Youngers Creek in Hardin County was a retired forklift operator for General Electric Appliance Park in Louisville. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Lois Brown of Lebanon Junction; a daughter, Rene (Tommy) Hodge of Lebanon Junction; son, Danny (Pattye) Underwood of Lebanon Junction; two grandchildren, Sherry Edgar and Shanna Underwood; great-grandchildren, Courtney Mann, Garrett Mann and Emma Edgar; three sisters, Christine Goodrich of Shepherdsville, Shirley Noe of Lebanon Junction and Betty Dickerson of Leitchfield; three half-sisters, Margaret Faulkenburg and Kathy Cranmer, both of Boston, Ky., and Carolum Edelin of Lebanon Junction.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with the Rev. Mike Rodgers officiating. Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Visitation was from 1-8 p.m. on Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may go to Hosparus of Louisville or the .
