Kenneth Hallmark Jr., 69, known to his friends as 'Ken,' returned to his Heavenly Father on June 2, 2018.
Born in San Jose, Calif., on March 20, 1949, Ken entered into the Air Force right out of high school and served honorably for 16 years. He earned an Associates Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Boyce Bible College. He enjoyed collecting junk, making friends, helping others and was rarely seen without boots and a cowboy hat. He served the Lord faithfully as a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mary Hallmark Sr.; brother, Ernie; mother-in-law, Pearl; and a grandson, Aleczander Ledney.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Robin; sister, Rosemary (Jeff); brother Eddy (Nancy); daughters, Beth (John) and Sarah (Matt); son, Travis; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 8, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shepherdsville. His burial will be on Monday, June 11, at the VA Cemetery in Hopkinsville, Ky. Memorial donations in memory of Ken may be made to the Semper Fi Fund.
