Mary Elizabeth (Coyle) Clark, 93, of Mount Washington, died on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
She was a retired teacher with the Bullitt County School System with more than 30 years of service. During that time, she served as president of both the Bullitt County Teachers Association and the Fifth Educational District. She worked as a metallurgist during World War II for the government. She was also one of the charter members of Calvary Christian Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bell Milton Clark; and a brother, Horace Johns Coyle.
She is survived by daughters, Nancy Belle (Ken) Mansfield of Frankton, Ind., Elma Frances (John) Anderson of Mount Washington, Trudie Anne (David) VanOrnum of Batavia, N.Y., and Coyla Jo (Jerry) Short of Salem, Ind.; sons, David Earl (Julie) Clark of Leitchfield, Danni Dale (Linda) Clark of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Michael Bersot Coyle and Timothy Nolan Coyle of Elizabethtown; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at Calvary Christian Center in Mount Washington with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Schmid Funeral Home in Mount Washington and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Expressions of sympathy may go to Gideon's International.
