Nancy Lou Payton Sumner, 76, of Louisville, died on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Norton Audubon Hospital.
She was the business operator of Biff's Gun World. She was also the Valley High School Class of 1955 event coordinator, a life member of the NRA and former show manager for the KACA gun shows.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Walalee Payton; and a sister, Beverly Tatum.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Biff "Jr." Sumner; sons, Steven (Terri) and Kenny (Tracy) Sumner; daughter, Tracy Lynn Sumner; grandchildren, Chad (Erin), Keri, Stephanie, Payton, Lucas, Lauren Sumner and Olivia Davis; and great-grandchildren, Navi, Caden and Lily.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home on Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 4-8 p.m. on Thursday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to her favorite charity, Kosair Charities.
