Bell Milton Clark, 93, of Mount Washington, died on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.
He was a retired carpentry teacher from Elizabethtown Vocational Technical School after a career as a furniture and cabinet maker. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard on board the USS William M. Black during World War II. He considered it to be an honor to be a charter member of Calvary Christian Center.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Coyle); daughters, Nancy Belle (Ken) Mansfield of Frankton, Ind., Elma Frances (John) Anderson of Mount Washington, Trudie Anne (David) Van Ornum of Rochester, N.Y., and Coyla Jo (Jerry) Short of Salem, Ind.; sons, David Earl (Julie) Clark of Leitchfield and Dannie Dale (Linda) Clark of Newport News, Va.; brother, Bruce Clark of Mount Washington; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, at Calvary Christian Center in Mount Washington with burial in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at Schmid Funeral Home in Mount Washington. Online condolences may go to
