Kenneth "K.C." "Budd" Fehl, 88, of Lebanon Junction, died on Saturday, May 17, 2014.
He was born to Walter Fehl and Zo Mae Duncan Fehl on Feb. 18, 1926, in Wilmont, S.D. He was a Navy veteran having served 23 years during World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars as senior chief. He then worked Navy Civil Service for 17 years in Puerto Rico before retiring in 1984.
He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Hood Fehl; his second wife, Maxine Meadows Fehl; his stepson, Dan Meadows; his parents; six sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth (Susann) Fehl II; grandson, Kenny (Melena) Fehl; stepdaughter, Susan (Gary) Bradbury; two step-grandsons, Todd (Shannon) Bradbury and Anthony Meadows Pacheco; and a step-granddaughter, Amy Bradbury.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 23, at Lebanon Junction First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason McCray officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, from 4-8 p.m. at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Stained Glass Window Fund at Lebanon Junction First Baptist Church.
