James Edward Perdue, 69, of Mount Washington, died on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.

He was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Oak Grove, Tenn. He was also a former board member with Blue Lick Optimist, North Bullitt Athletic Boosters and the Tool and Die Makers Association.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sheryl Krantz; daughters, Melissa (Michael) Crain, Angie (Sonny) Foreman and Bridgette Vance; son, Jimmy (Laura) Perdue; brother, Bill Perdue; granddaughters, Megan Vance, MacKenzie Perdue, Madyson Foreman, Maggie and Lily Crain; grandsons, Hunter Perdue and Sonny Foreman; and nephews, Bobby, Brad, Chris and Doug Perdue.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3, at Schmid Funeral home in Mount Washington with burial in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. on Thursday.
