Ronald Ray Atwood, 70, of Mount Washington, died on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
The native of Casey County, Ky., was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co., an avid golfer and ranger for Tanglewood, a member of Salt River Masonic Lodge 180, UAW Local 862, Mount Washington Lions Club and Bethel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frieda Verona Wright Atwood; a daughter, Vicki (Dean) Huff; a son, Brent (Belinda) Atwood; three sisters, Roxie Peavey, Eveleen Miller and Carol Emmerson; a brother, Dewey Atwood; four grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Huff, Christina and Savannah Atwood; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 8, at Bethel United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the church.
