Ellis Owen Tyler, 86, of Mount Washington, died on Friday, June 7, 2013.
He was a native of Bullitt County, a retired employee of Beatrice Foods, a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a member of Kings Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Gaye Tyler.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta Alcorn Tyler; a daughter, Gwendolyn Sue (Ron) Pierce; three sons, Barry, Rickey (Linda) and Ronald (Susan) Tyler; and six grandchildren, Samantha, Wes, Daniel and Brandy Tyler, Brian and Brent Pierce.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home in Mount Washington with burial in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial gifts may go to the Gideons International.
