Keith F. Nichols 84, of Elizabethtown, died on Saturday, July 13, 2013.

The native of Varna, Ill., moved with his family to the west end of Louisville and he attended Shawnee High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. Over his life, Keith had many occupations from maintenance to farming to sales. He worked at Henry Vogt, P.Lorillard, Belnap Hardware, sold real estate and was a salesman at Central Chevrolet in Mount Washington for many years.
In retirement, he and his wife purchased Elizabethtown Crossroads Campground. He loved camping and was a people person. Many became personal friends and wouldn't camp anywhere else. They also loved his true stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eula Wilson Nichols; and sisters, Helen Neuner, Barbara Hale and Ruth Browning.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol Ann Nichols; five sons, Michael (Francie) Nichols, Richard (Lisa) Tunget, Robert (Brooke) Tunget, Roger Tunget and Ronald (Sherry) Embry; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Nichols; and one sister, Mary Ann Beatty.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, July 18, at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Wayne Townes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 9 a.m. on Thursday.
