Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, with visitation one hour before. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.

PEORIA - Linda Jean Goodman of Valley Park, Mo., formerly of Peoria, our beloved daughter, mother, grandmother and cousin, passed away and was called home Wednesday, April 29, 2015, to be with her Heavenly Father, at her home while surrounded by her family. Linda was born and raised in Peoria, Ill. She is survived by her three children, Wendy Martin (Eugene), Jason Goodman (Jessica) and Christopher Goodman (Sarah). Linda has 15 grandchildren, Alexandria (27), Brianna (22), Christopher Jr. (20), Ciara (18), Dominique (17), Ahliya (17), Robert (15), Kylee (14), Alexis (14), Alycea (12), Natalie (11), Bailey (6), Abigail (5), Jace (4) and Camden (2). Linda enjoyed golf, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and children. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois, Affton, MO 63123. Funeral will be Monday, May 4, in the chapel at the same location at 11 a.m., with processional and graveside service to immediately follow at Park Lawn Cemetery. The family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108, in care of Linda J. Goodman.

Gentil, Pannette  
PEKIN - Pannette Marie Gentil, 51, of Pekin passed away suddenly due to an unforeseen complication at 8:38 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria. Pannette bravely battled cancer for the last six years. Born March 30, 1964, in Peoria to Charles Patrick and Janet Faye (Golden) Galvin, she married Michael K. Rose on July 28, 2011, in Bellevue, Iowa. He survives. Also surviving are her mother, Janet Brown of Morton; her father, Pat Galvin of Pekin; one daughter, Sarah Marie Gentil of Pekin; one stepson, Justin Rose of Pekin; two sisters, Charlet Marie (Daniel) McGovern of Pekin and Kelly Marie (John) Johnson of Newport Beach, Calif.; and four nieces and nephews, Jack Johnson, Molly McGovern, Anna McGovern and Joe Johnson. She also leaves her mothers-in-law, Carolyn Huls of Pekin and Joyce (Jim) Modglin of Mapleton. Pannette last worked for Illinois Mutual Insurance in Peoria. She was the longtime manager of Weinstein's Restaurant in East Peoria, which was owned by her mother. She also had served as a sales representative for Waugh Food and at Jones Bros. Jewelers as the manager at their former Silverwear Store. Pannette loved gardening and being outdoors, especially working in the yard. She also enjoyed vacationing and had a special fondness for her dogs. Pannette was a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was extremely devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed gathering and spending time with them. She was a member of Pekin First Church of the Nazarene, where she was an active member of the Connect Group. She also took part in Family Connections at the church. She also was a member of Pekin Women of the Moose Chapter 673. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. W. Lloyd Brock will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to an education fund for her daughter, Sarah Gentil, in care of the funeral home, 500 N. 4th St., Pekin, IL 61554, or through online giving at . Grafelman, Joyce  
BENSON - Joyce Elaine Grafelman, 79, of Benson, Ill., passed away at 1:13 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Kindred Hospital in Peoria, Ill. She was born on Jan. 15, 1936, in Greene Township, Ill., to John E. and Elizabeth Koch Weber. She married Howard Grafelman on Feb. 25, 1956, in Benson, Ill. He passed away on Dec. 2, 2014. Surviving are two sons, Scott (Sharon) Grafelman of Kansas City, Mo., and Clint (Rita) Grafelman of Friendwood, Texas; two daughters, Lisa (Nick) Kester of Dwight, Ill., and Rhonda (Lee Edwards) Davis of El Paso, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) King, Stephen Grafelman, John Grafelman, Emily Grafelman, Ryan Grafelman and Doug, Derek and Nicholas Kester; one brother, John Weber of Roanoke; and three sisters, Joan (Delmar) Kolb of Benson, Ruth (Ethan) Fish of Milbank, S.D., and Barbara (Dale) Hostetler of Benson. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Todd Grafelman; one brother, Dale Weber; and one infant granddaughter, Maggie Kester. Joyce attended the Brown's Business School in Peoria and then worked for Gailey Eye Clinic, before she started raising her family. She was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Benson, where she had taught Sunday school, served on the church council and was active with the altar guild and the ladies aid. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Benson. Pastor Nathan Feig will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Clayton Township Cemetery. Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home in Roanoke is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Benson Ambulance. Online condolences may be sent to the family at .
