Gostowski, Harriet - Washington  
Harriet Gostowski WASHINGTON - Harriet Lavonne Gostowski, 84, of Washington went to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 4:55 a.m. at Riverview Senior Living Community in East Peoria. Harriet was born on January 7, 1932, in DuQuoin, IL, to Julian and Cassie Queen Mills. She married Edward Gostowski on February 4, 1951, in DuQuoin. Harriet is survived by her husband, Edward; their four children, Martha Troxell of Washington, Mark Gostowski of Dallas, TX, Marsha (Ronald) Hiatt of Washington and Marvin (Vicki Koller) Gostowski of Lincoln; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Marvin (Jo Ann) Mills of DuQuoin. She was preceded in death by her parents. Harriet worked many years at Ron's Bakery and was a Mary Kay consultant. She was a longtime member of Roland Manor Baptist Church in Washington before attending Faith Church in Washington. Harriet served in children's ministry as a Sunday School and Awana's teacher for many years. She loved children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught them the love of God and reflected Jesus daily. She was a gifted artist and enjoyed many pastimes, including creating crafts, camping and hiking. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Peoria Rescue Ministries. A funeral service for Harriet will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Steve Graffis will officiate. There will be a visitation on Thursday, May 26, 2016, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and a half hour prior to service on Friday. Inurnment will be on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Gresham, David - South Pekin  
David Gresham SOUTH PEKIN - David Gresham, 58, of South Pekin passed away at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria. David was born on December 16, 1957, in Bloomington, IL. to James and Doris (Cotton) Gresham of Normal. They survive. He married Denise Cook on October 4, 1996, in Peoria, IL. David is survived by his wife, Denise; four sons, Dallas Gresham of Minneapolis, MN, Austin Gresham of South Pekin, Tyler (Alyssa) Gresham of Huffman, Texas, and David Gresham II of South Pekin; and two granddaughters, Ember-Ann and Ava-Grace Gresham. Also surviving are two brothers, Dallas (Gwen) Gresham of Greenview, IL, and Dale (Ann) Gresham of Normal; two aunts, Janet (Susie) Cole of Normal and Marilyn Prather of Schaumburg, IL; and one uncle, Max Gresham of Texas. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Aaron and Essie Mae Gresham; maternal grandparents, Oscar and Beulah Cotton; and two brothers, Randy and Danny Gresham. David worked as a Laborer/Highway Striper for the Texas Dept. of Transportation. He loved the companionship of his children and grandchildren. As we say goodbye to David, his friends and family will always remember his advice to "PARTY ON." His visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory, 2131 Velde Drive, Pekin. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation. Gilles, Bradley - Peoria  
Bradley Gilles BRIMFIELD – Bradley Q. Gilles, 59, of Brimfield, formerly of Elmwood, died at 1:49 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on November 16, 1956, in Peoria, to Walter and Kathryn (Mohn) Gilles. He is survived by his mother, Kathryn, of Melbourne, FL, his love, Wanda Bennett, of Brimfield; 4 sons, Nicholas Flatt of Manito, Alex (Amanda) Gilles of Peoria Heights, Jared (Astrid) Gilles of Peoria, and Josh Gilles of Farmington; one brother, Scott Gilles; three sisters, Debbie Curtis, Theresa Hulslander, and Cecelia Sernick; and four grandchildren, Carter Gilles, Charlie Gilles, Quentin Flatt, and Christen Flatt. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter; three brothers, Greg Gilles, Walter Gilles, and Michael Gilles; and one sister, Beverly Hrdlicka. Bradley was a journeyman plasterer and was a member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Local 18. He also was a member of the Farmington Moose. Bradley was an avid fisherman and hunter, and enjoyed antiquing and gardening. He was also of the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kickapoo. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date. Grogg, Richard Lee - Tucson  
Richard Lee Grogg WASHINGTON - Richard Grogg ended his battle with cancer on May 15, 2016, in Tucson Arizona. We are comforted knowing he is pain free and his soul is soaring with the eagles. Dick was born on May 19, 1949, in Peoria, IL, and raised in Washington, IL. He attended Southern Illinois University and earned his A.A. from Illinois Central College. He served in the Marines for 2 years during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2005 from Caterpillar after 36 years. He and his wife Jennifer and their three cats moved to their new home in Tucson to enjoy the warm weather, golf and the beautiful desert. He worked as a security guard at the Park Place Mall for 8 years. Dick enjoyed playing and watching golf, driving his motorcycle and street rod truck, working in the yard, eating out and attending concerts with friends. Dick is survived by Jennifer, his loving wife of 43 years; his brothers, Dellis (Gwen) and Phillip (Lisa); his sister, Hope (Rocky); stepbrother, David; stepsisters, Kathryn and Susan (Darin); stepmother, Betty; sister-in-law, Melissa; and stepmother-in-law, Kay. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Hazel Grogg. A celebration of his life is being planned for later this summer in Washington, IL. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donors' choice.

Betty Gosbin PEORIA – Betty J. Gosbin, 81, of Peoria passed away at 9:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Proctor in Peoria. Betty was born on August 20, 1934, to Paul and Dorothy (Roseboom) Matkovic. She married Ronald Gosbin on June 27, 1964, at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria, where she remained an active member. Betty is survived by her husband, Ron; and was preceded in death by her parents. Betty worked as a marketing account coordinator at Caterpillar, Inc. for 33 years. She was active in the Women's Christian Academy and the Marquette Chapter of Retired Secretaries. Betty was an avid gardener and took great pride in her landscaping. She will be remembered as a loving caregiver. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2016, at The Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
