Horwath, William - Joliet  
WASHINGTON - William Joseph Horwath, age 99, of Washington passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at Reflections in Washington, Ill. He was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Joliet, Ill., the son of Frances (Klemencic) Horwath and Frank Horwath. He married Rosella Janes on March 15, 1944. They enjoyed 71 years together. William was preceded in death by his two brothers, Albert and Frank Jr.; and six sisters, Josephine, Frances (Stanley) Kozlowski, Elizabeth (Arnold) Meader, Julia (Tom) O'Brien, Mary (James) Lyman and Anna (Clarence) Stukel. His wife, Rosella (Janes) Horwath, survives him, and also his son, David (Lynn) Horwath; one daughter, Jane (Terry) Thomann; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Horwath was an Army veteran of World War II and a life member of Cantigny Post 367 VFW. He retired from Caterpillar as a toolmaker in 1982 after 27 years of service. He enjoyed playing the organ, reading, square dancing and fishing in Minnesota. He also liked working around his home and in his basement workshop. All will miss his dry humor and wit. The family would like to thank the staff of Lutheran Hillside Village and Reflections Memory Care for the wonderful care he received during the past six years. We especially want to thank caregivers, Dornecia, Val Spaulding and Linda Schmidall, for their loving care of Bill. Linda, you treated Bill as if he were your own dad. A Mass of Christian burial will be today, April 14, 2015, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Joliet. Interment will be in St. Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 12 noon until time of Mass at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church.

Householter, James - WHEATON  
EUREKA - James P. "Jim" Householter, 56, a 31-year resident of Wheaton, formerly of Eureka, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Peoria, Ill., on Sept. 11, 1958, he was the youngest son of Robert and Madeline Householter. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Karen; children, Emily and Peter; his brothers, Dennis (Martha) and Bob (Leslie), all of Morton; and sisters-in-law, Jane (Mike) Lozano of Brownsburg, Ind., and Suzanne Zercher of Champaign. He was a loving uncle to his seven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Joel Householter. Jim grew up in Eureka, Ill. He graduated from Illinois State University in 1981 with degrees in math and accounting. After passing the Illinois CPA exam, he worked at CNA Insurance and Zurich-American Insurance companies. Later, he started his own tax and consulting business, where he strived to use his skills to help others succeed. He was a former treasurer of the Interfaith Food Pantry in Carol Stream, and he worked tirelessly to help those in need. Memorial visitation will be held today, April 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, Ill. (one block east of Naperville Road). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Lombard Mennonite Church, 528 E. Madison, Lombard, Ill. Services conclude at the church. Hupp, Jeannie - Peoria  
PEORIA - Jeannie Marie (Rhomberg) Hupp, 56, of Peoria died at 12:43 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind two beloved sons, Julian and Gideon. Jeannie and her twin brother, Joe, were born on May 31, 1958. They were lovingly raised by Joe and Barb Rhomberg of Elkader, Iowa. Jeannie was compassionate and generous, and she cherished spending time with family and friends. Her spirit was best exemplified during the last several years as she cared for those most in need as a medical assistant at Heartland Community. Jeannie is survived by her sons, Julian (Crystal) and Gideon; granddaughters, Annabelle and Annastasia; biological siblings, Larry, Allen, Randy, Joe (Mike), Robert and Patti; adoptive siblings, Mary, Patti, Monica, Katy, Susy and John; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Thaddeus. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, 2416 N. North St. in Peoria, with a funeral service following at 6 p.m. Deacon Joe LaHood will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
