Green, Glendon  
PEORIA - Glendon "Glen" Green, 50, of Bloomington, Ill., formerly of Peoria, passed away Monday morning, May 18, 2015, at his residence. He was born on April 4, 1965, to Linda (Marek) and Robert Green. Surviving are two daughters, Taylor and Emily Green of Peoria, Ill.; mother, Linda Green of Peoria, Ill.; Uncle Marty and Aunt Sally Marek of Tremont, Ill.; two cousins, Chris Marek of Mackinaw, Ill., and Valerie Marek of Peoria, Ill.; and fiancee, Debbie Criss of Marshall, Ill. Glen was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Nicole; and special aunt, Vera Davis. Glen was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a very loving and supporting father to his beloved daughters. His charismatic charm and humor touched the hearts of everyone he met. Glen enjoyed traveling the country for a large furniture firm. He had a passion for fishing and grilling, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. GO BEARS! Memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Lake Fellowship, 401 E. Empire St., Bloomington, IL 61701. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be at a later date. Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gudeman, Evelyn  
EUREKA - Evelyn E. Gudeman, 90, of Eureka, Ill., passed away at 6:20 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on July 26, 1924, in Eureka, Ill., a daughter of John and Nima Beer Zimmerman. She married Donald E. Gudeman on Oct. 4, 1970, in Eureka, Ill. He survives. Survivors also include one sister, Gladys Schmidgall of Eureka; and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters. Evelyn worked at the Eureka Hospital as a practical nurse for 25 years. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Eureka, where services will be held today, May 18, 2015, at 10 a.m. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation was held from 9 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, at the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home, and also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka and will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. today, May 18, 2015, at the church before services. Burial will be in the Roanoke Apostolic Christian Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home. Hall, Glenna  
HANNA CITY - Glenna Lee Hall, 91, of rural Hanna City passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Glenna was born on Aug. 3, 1923, to Glen and Phoebe Schisler and was raised in Peoria, where she graduated from Manual High School and met her future husband, Robert Earnest Hall. They wedded July 3, 1943. Together, two city kids built their country home, the same home where she passed away in the presence of her family. She was a member of the Hanna City Presbyterian Church and supported numerous other causes. She loved playing games, fishing, gardening and all shades of purple. Surviving are her son, George (Loretta) Hall of Peoria; grandson, Randy Hall of Warsaw, Ind.; granddaughter, Linda (Sheri Anger) Hall of East Dubuque, Ill.; and sister, Karloue Scally of Washington, Ill. Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Hall; her son, Larry Hall; and her brother, Miles Schisler. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at The Wilton Mortuary, with the Rev. Richard Springsteen officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children's Hospital of Illinois. PEORIA - Warren Arthur Harris, 78, of Peoria died at 8:31 p.m. Sunday May 17, 2015, surrounded by family, his minister, and friends at the beautiful OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Warren was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Peoria to Ruth (Hulquist) and Clarence Harris. He is survived by his wife, Patricia McFarlane Harris, whom he married on July 29, 1961, and their five daughters and five sons-in-law, Margaret Lee (Bill) Schmider of Hanna City, Kathleen Michelle (Tom) Hafele of Waverly, Iowa, Joan Marie (Shannon) Walden of Peoria, Elizabeth Jean (Matt) Allen of Lynchburg, Va., and Michelle Therese (Troy) Adams of East Peoria. He dearly loved his 12 grandchildren, Michael Harris, Joshua Harris, Jessica and Jennifer Schmider, Jake and Kassidy Hafele, Kyle and Delaney Walden, MacKenzie and Jack Allen, and Ayla and Bowie Adams. He enjoyed five great-grandchildren Jayden, Caylee, Brooklyn, Naevia and Liam. Also surviving are sisters, Donna (Bob) Norman of Peoria and Doris Kamrowski of Phoenix, Ariz.; and sister-in-law, Joan Harris of Newark, N.Y. Warren had many relatives and some awesome nieces and nephews who affectionately called him "Uncle Warnie." His older brother, the Rev. Gerald Harris of Newark, N.Y., preceded him in death. Friends include classmates from Peoria Heights Grade School, Woodruff High School and Bradley University, from which he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business. Warren was a true lover of humanity and a seeker for justice. He marched for civil rights, the peace movement, supported equal rights for women (of course) and also LGBT rights. Employed as a systems analyst by Caterpillar Inc., he retired in 1999. He served on several city of Peoria commissions, was precinct committeeman for Uplands Neighborhood Association, president of the West Bluff Council in 1987. After retirement, he volunteered at Springdale Cemetery. He served as vice president of the Peoria Chapter of the ACLU and received the David Citron Award for his contributions to Civil Rights in the Peoria area in 2008. He was a member of our "beloved community," the Universalist Unitarian Church, where he served as president in the 1980s and received the Outstanding Service Award from the church in 2007. He enjoyed politics (sometimes), reading, good movies, dogs, crossword puzzles, the dictionary (he loved words), the writings of Robert G. Ingersoll, music (all kinds including classics) but especially Willie Nelson, Burl Ives, Patsy Cline and his sister in-law, Spanky McFarlane of Spanky & Our Gang. Most of all, Warren loved his family, his friends and his church. Everyone enjoyed his quirky sense of humor. He was a good man! Our Minister Rev. Michael Brown will officiate at a memorial service and celebration of Warren's life on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 11:11 a.m. (family's sacred time) at the Universalist Unitarian Church, 3000 Richwoods Blvd., Peoria, Ill. Visitation will be after the service around 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch. Memorials may be made to the Universalist Unitarian Memory Garden, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) or OSF Hospice. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at csmico.com .
