Alexander, Danielle  
PEORIA - Danielle Alexander, 50, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Peoria, Ill., passed away at 3 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Danielle was born on Sept. 6, 1964, in Peoria to Wilma Alexander and Willie Jamison. Danielle is survived by one son, DeMarco Morgan; mother, Wilma Scott; stepparents, Andrew and Annie Scott; two brothers, Andre Scott and Tony (Eve) Moten; three sisters, Demetra Alexander, Donna Scott and Kimberly (Efral) Keys; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at New Cornerstone Baptist Church, with a visitation at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Mark McConnell will officiate. Simons Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements.

Allen, Kenneth  
BRIMFIELD - Kenneth D. "Pops" Allen, 72, of Brimfield died at 2:11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at UnityPoint Health-Proctor in Peoria. He was born on April 9, 1942, in Moorehouse, Mo., to Robert Floyd and Nellie May (Green) Allen. He married Betty Lenora Kell in Brimfield on July 2, 1960. She survives. Other survivors include four children, Mary "Kathy" Hippen of Peoria, Lorie (Kenny Rynearson) Vance of Brimfield, Lisa Allen of Brimfield and Keith (Rhonda Strappe) Allen of Brimfield; six grandchildren, Justin Hippen, Jessica White, Michael Vance, Joseph Vance, Kenneth John Allen and Jacob Allen; one great-grandson, Brayden Bailey; three siblings, Roger (Grace) Allen of Morton, Dorothy Wilson of Nashville, Tenn., and Eva (Harold) Zimmerman of Bernie, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Erica Allen; and three siblings, Neal Allen, Rollie Gene Allen and Lillian Swafford. Kenneth worked for Peabody Midland Coal Co., WABCO, Kress Corp. and Kroshell Inc., retiring in 2006. Ken was also very involved in the Brimfield community, serving on the Brimfield Volunteer Fire Department, Brimfield Area Men's Club, Brimfield Library board, Historical Society and cemetery board, served one term as mayor and also played Santa for several years during the Holiday Walk. Ken enjoyed hunting of all kinds, walking uptown for coffee, being involved with his family and community and enjoying an occasional dirty joke. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Elmwood, where visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Atkinson, Paul  
PEORIA - Paul A. Atkinson, 66, of Peoria passed away at 4:25 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 23, 1948, in Peoria, the son of Albert F. and LaNora Goett Atkinson. On Feb. 8, 1969, he married Sandra "Sandi" Klein at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Peoria. Sandi survives, along with their children, Stacie (Shawn) Payne, Aimee (Greg) Durre and Matthew (Bonnie) Atkinson. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Taryn and Kellyn Payne and Tammra Atkinson; and five grandsons, Aaron, Alex and Austin Durre and Matthew and Joshua Atkinson. Further surviving are three sisters, Shirley Quick, Patricia (Ed) Driscoll and Marilyn (Bud) Sullivan; two sisters-in-law, Cathy Atkinson and Colette (Mike) Trimeloni; and three brothers-in-law, John McHugh, Mike (Suzi) Crowell and Pat (Diane) Crowell; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis "Bud" and Richard "Dick" Atkinson; one sister, Kathleen McHugh; one sister-in-law, Hazel Atkinson; one brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Quick; and a nephew, Darrin Hunter. He graduated from St. John Catholic School in 1962 and Manual High School in 1966. Paul was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church from its formation. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Jude Council, Third and Fourth degree; St. Ann Men's Club; and the VFW Post 2602 in Peoria Heights. Paul was a U.S. Navy Seabees veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He retired from Ameren after 27 years as an electric stores-man. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at St. Ann Catholic Church, with Fr. Terry Cassidy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to his Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his name to UnityPoint Health-Methodist Hospice. Bader, Phyllis  
PEORIA - Phyllis A. Bader, 63, of Peoria, Ill., passed away at 6:07 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. Phyllis was born on Aug. 6, 1951, in Peoria to Glenn and Della (Goodman) Wilson. She married James Bader Sr. on May 11, 1972, in Peoria. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband, Jim of Peoria; two sons, John Bader of Peoria and James (Connie) Bader Jr. of East Peoria; two daughters, Priscilla Loy of Peoria and Christina Bader of Pekin; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Chaz) Wilson of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Pat Hagen of Mason City, Ill., and John and Luann Bader of South Pekin; and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and reading her Bible. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory in Pekin. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. PEORIA - Dorothy K. Baker, 77, of Peoria, Ill., formerly of Washington and Prophetstown, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at UnityPoint Health-Proctor in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church. Visitation is prior to the service, from 9 to 11 a.m. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown. The Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown, Ill., is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy was born Nov. 9, 1937, in Sterling, Ill., to Henry and Mary (Klinger) Marshall. She was a graduate of Prophetstown High School and attended Illinois Central College in Peoria. Dorothy worked for 25 years as an accountant and administrative assistant for Caterpillar, Inc. in Peoria. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Hollingsworth of Camdenton, Mo., and Susan (Tom) Perkins of Peoria, Ill.; two sons, Greg Baker of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jon Baker of Glasford, Ill.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beth Vetter of Rock Falls, Ill. LITTLE AMERICA - Patricia L. Baker, 69, of Little America passed away at 7:40 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born May 19, 1945, at Beardstown, the daughter of Jesse and Venus (Lascelles) Barrett. She married Terry Baker on Aug. 1, 1965, in Havana. He survives, along with two children, Todd Baker of Little America and Tracey Baker of Pekin; two grandchildren; Megan Baker of Table Grove and Austin Baker of Smithfield; one great-granddaughter, Stella Robertson of Table Grove; and one brother, Jesse Barrett of Beardstown. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one stepbrother; and one stepsister. Pat attended the Canton Assembly of God Church where she was active in church functions. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales and genealogy. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown, with the Rev. Greg White officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the memorial home, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown.
