Betty Taylor

MORTON - Betty A. Taylor, 65, of Morton died at 7:26 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Nov. 14, 1948, in Peoria to Richard Lee and Dothel (Ferguson) Taylor.

Surviving are two sons, Craig Huntley of Morton and Brett (Cassi) Huntley of Marquette Heights; three grandchildren; and her mother, Dothel Taylor of Morton.

She was preceded in death by her father and one sister.

Betty was a 1966 graduate of Deer Creek-Mackinaw High School and attended Midstate College.

She worked at GB Oil in Creve Coeur, retiring in 1992 as an assistant manager.

Betty was a liver transplant recipient in 1996 and made several appearances to promote donor programs. She was a Civil War enthusiast, enjoyed antiquing and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Ludwig Mortuary in Morton, with the Rev. Fred Doughty officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, both at Ludwig Mortuary. Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in Deer Creek.
