PEORIA - CoraLee Reynolds, 91, of Hamilton, Ill., formerly of Peoria, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Montebello Health Care Center in Hamilton, where she had resided since June of 2011.
She was born on Dec. 23, 1921, in rural Hamilton, Ill., to Leland Arthur and Mae Morrill Crette. She married William W. Reynolds on Aug. 17, 1947. He preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2003.
CoraLee is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Richard) Hartman of Fort Wayne, Ind. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Rebecca Hartman and Minda Hartman, and one grandson, Jonathan Hartman, all of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are cousins, Amy (Paul) French of Hamilton, Ill., and Patricia (Walton) Wetzel of Quincy, Ill.; a niece, Evanne (Brad) White of Horton, Ala.; and a nephew, Phillip (Cathie) Fisher of Lakeland, Ga.
She was a legal secretary for many years in the Peoria, Ill., area.
After retiring to the family farm in Hamilton, she was active in the Heartland Literacy Council (from 1989) and in the AARP 55 Alive/Mature Driving program. She was a member of Entre Nous and Hamilton American Legion Auxiliary and a member and elder of Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she served at the Presbytery of Great Rivers level.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Lamporte-St. Clair Funeral Home of Hamilton. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, with Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
Memorials have been established for Bethel Presbyterian Church.
