Deloris Phillips

MORTON - Deloris "Dee" (Estep-Lance) Phillips, 83, of Morton, formerly of Lake Camelot in Mapleton, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria.

Deloris was born May 21, 1930, in Peoria, the daughter of Pearl C. and Hilda D. (Kreeger) Estep. She married John Lance Jr. on Jan. 3, 1948, in Peoria. She later married Richard Phillips in 1971.

Surviving are three daughters, Beverly (Jack) Clark of Tremont, Sandra (Chuck) Auten of Pekin and Rebecca (Deef) Stone of Varna; one son, Rickey (Renee) Lance of California; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather; two brothers, Martin and Donald Estep; two sisters, Juanita McMullen and Alvina Magner; one stepbrother; and one great-granddaughter, Courtney Johnson.

She worked for 31 years at Hiram Walkers & Sons in Peoria, retiring in 1981.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Graveside services and burial of ashes will be held on April 26, 2014, in Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe. Everyone is welcome.
