Harry Stalter

TRIVOLI - Harry L. Stalter, 85, formerly of Trivoli, Ill., passed away at 7:24 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at his son's residence in Morton, Ill.

He was born on April 10, 1928, in Trivoli to Harry E. and Mabel (Worley) Stalter and married Eleanor E. Moser on March 3, 1951, in Tremont, Ill. She passed away Dec. 11, 2006.

Surviving are his son, Ron (Rhonda) Stalter of Morton; his daughter, Roxanne Ludolph of Brimfield; four grandchildren, Veronica, Paige, Justin and Trevor; his brother, Delmar Stalter of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and his sister, Nancy Weber of Hanna City.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, Kenny.

He worked at Caterpillar and retired with 37 years of service.

Harry was a talented custom knife maker during his retirement years.

Harry was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Services will be Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Rev. Bob DeBolt will officiate. Burial will be in Trivoli Cemetery.
