FARMINGTON - Judith K. Bitner, 74, of Farmington, Ill., passed away at 11:08 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Farmington to George A. and LaVon B. (Shelton) Long. She married Ralph Bitner on Sept. 29, 1956, in Corinth, Miss.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph, of Farmington, and two daughters, Dee Ann Hagen and Mary Jo (Richard) Perardi, both of Farmington. She was Granny to five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jeff) Shillinger, Laura (Donny) Gruss, Michael (Sarah) Perardi, Daniel Perardi and Adam Perardi; and also her great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Kiera.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Judith was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Farmington.
Judy loved camping, traveling and enjoying time with her grandchildren. She also loved her dogs and cats.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home, Farmington, with a two hour prior visitation. The Rev. Chris Deacon will officiate. Burial of ashes will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Farmington.
