Washington - Kaitlin Delee Brown, 19, of Washington passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Rolla, Mo., at Missouri University of Science & Technology, where she was a sophomore.
She was born in Mission, Kan., to Frank and Dawn Clark Brown on May 5, 1993.
Her mother, Dawn, passed away on Sept. 24, 1994, and is interred at Roberts Cemetery in Morton, Ill., where Kaitlin will be placed by her side.
Surviving are her father, Frank Brown of Raytown, Mo.; one sister, Amber of Lee's Summit, Mo.; her maternal grandmother, Shay Clark of Washington; maternal grandfather, Richard Clark of Morton; paternal grandmother, Georgia Hollins of Arkansas City, Kan.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, who all loved her and will miss her greatly.
She enjoyed working as a disc jockey in her free time at school and was a gifted singer.
She participated in her high school production of "Hairspray." She played the part of one of the "dream girls."
There will be a funeral for Kaitlin on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Retired Christian minister Pastor Stuart Couve will officiate. There will be a private graveside service at Roberts Cemetery in Morton at a later date.
