MORTON - Kimberly Kay White, 49, of Morton passed away at 8:07 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge in Morton.
She was born June 23, 1963, at Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, Ill.
Surviving are her mother, Karen Kay White (fiance, Eddy Allen) of LeRoy, Ill.; her father, Donald L. (Betty) White of Bluffton, S.C.; one brother, Jason (Natalie) White of Carlock, Ill.; one sister, Jill (Rick) Puplava of Bluffton, S.C.; three nieces, Kylie Puplava, Abigail Puplava and Emma Puplava; two nephews, Ridge White and Cole Hendryx; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kim participated with Special Olympics of Illinois in bowling, electric wheelchair races and the tennis ball throw.
She attended PARC in Peoria, where she worked in the Pats Room and played computer games and earned money doing jobs on the computer.
Kim loved music and enjoyed attending the West Twin Grove Christian Church Opry in Bloomington. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomington.
Kim loved her family and she especially looked forward to coming home on the weekends with her mom and Eddy.
The family of Kimberly Kay White wishes to express its appreciation for the loving and professional care of the staff and administration of the Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge in Morton, where Kim had resided for the past 21 years.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton. A minister from the Apostolic Christian Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, and one hour prior to services Friday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in LeRoy.
