Tom was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Peoria. He also attended St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria, where he served as a Eucharistic minister for 25 years and an usher for 43 years. He loved his wife, Iola, dearly. He enjoyed doing little things for her to show how much he loved her, this past Valentine's Day he surprised her with a beautiful bouquet of yellow roses. Tom enjoyed working in the garden. He looked forward to visiting with his family during the holidays and on special occasions. During those times he especially enjoyed handing out candy to his grandchildren, and of course always held back a few pieces for himself. He collected unique pens and trinkets and never missed an opportunity to show off his latest find. He will always be fondly remembered as "one of the good guys" and will be greatly missed.
