Ralph Bellot

METAMORA - Ralph J. Bellot, age 77, of Metamora, Ill., formerly of Odell, Ill., passed away at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his residence.

He was born April 3, 1936, in Pontiac, Ill., to Joseph and Bernice (Ralph) Bellot.

Surviving are two daughters, Margery (Mike) Rosenthal of Groveland, Ill., and Robin Bellot of Aurora, Ill.; and grandchildren, Stephanie Rosenthal and Tyler Bellot. Also surviving are two sisters, Judy (Ray) Masching and Sharon (Clarence) Stadel, both of Odell, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Ralph was a Marine Corps veteran, serving in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and worked as a printing pressman for S.J. Smith Printing Company in Peoria until his retirement.

He enjoyed farming, fishing, golfing, gardening and watching NASCAR. He was an avid Cubs, Bears and Bulls fan, and was of the Catholic faith.

A memorial visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home, Metamora Chapel. Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harbor Light Hospice and an educational fund for Ralph's grandchildren at Commerce Bank in Metamora.
