Roger Hutchison

TREMONT - Roger D. Hutchison, 61, of Tremont passed away at 10:34 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room in Peoria.

He was born on Oct. 19, 1951, in Peoria to Wayne E. and Marilyn A. Burden Hutchison.

Surviving are his mother, Marilyn Hutchison of Delavan; two sons, Dennis (Michelle) Hutchison Jr. of Davenport, Iowa, and Philip Hutchison of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Michelle Hutchison of Tremont; two grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Hutchison; three brothers, Ronald W. (Diane) Hutchison of Pekin, Kevin (Pam) Hutchison of Mascoutah and Brad (Renee) Hutchison of Bloomington; and one sister, Lori (Ron) Griffin of Delavan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Earl; one daughter, Monica Lynn; and one son, Paul William.

Roger worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Mapleton.

He was a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Delavan Amvets Post 169.

Roger enjoyed riding his Harley, was an avid White Sox fan, and was an avid blood donor for the American Red Cross.

He was a loving father and grandfather and was always willing to do anything that was asked.

His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Davis Mortuary in Tremont. Pastor Robert Nafziger will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial and military honors will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
