Sue Jackson

north pekin - Marilyn Sue Jackson, 62, of North Pekin passed away at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was formerly of Marquette Heights.

Born June 5, 1950, in Peoria to Wilbert and Wilma (Nelms) Cotton, she married Terry Gene Jackson on Sept. 13, 1969, in Peoria. He died June 10, 2011, in Marquette Heights.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandra.

Surviving are one daughter, Kathy (Roy) Leeper of North Pekin; two sons, Terry Jackson Jr. of East Peoria and Scott (Carolyn) Jackson of Pekin; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald (Alice) Cotton of Pekin and Wilbert (Sharilyn) Cotton Jr. of Florida; and one sister, Linda (Tom) Gavin of Peoria.

A homemaker, Sue was very kind-hearted and would help anyone. She enjoyed watching her grandson compete in the Special Olympics. She also enjoyed going to car shows and was a former member of the Midwest Cruisers Car Club.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. today, Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
