Viola Kauzlarich

PEORIA - Viola Catherine Kauzlarich, 85, of Peoria, formerly of Trivoli, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Bickford Cottage in Peoria.

Viola was born on Feb. 10, 1928, in Peoria, Ill., to Dewey D. and Neva W. (Willis) Chaney. She married Frankie L. Kauzlarich on Sept. 12, 1950, in Richmond, Ind. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1996.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark; her parents; four brothers; and five sisters.

Viola is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Turner of Roanoke, Ill., and Joyce Johnson of Bellvue, Ill; and several nieces and nephews.

Viola was a dental hygienist for Drs. P.S. Neuwerth and Michael Zichterman, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Timberlake Country Club, Peoria Women's Nine Hole Golf League and she was a past officer for the Peoria Area, State and National Dental Hygiene Associations.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and a rosary service will be at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
