MORTON - William V. Andrews, 88, of Morton passed away at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
He was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Wenona, Ill., to Virgil B. and Flossie F. (Mayes) Andrews. He married Margaret H. Schmallenberger on June 19, 1948, in Groveland. She preceded him in death on June 1, 1993.
He also was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Ronda (Keith) Mooberry and Rita (Steven) Litwiller, both of Morton; four grandchildren, Brett (Trish) Mooberry, Lindsey Mooberry, Amanda Litwiller and Bradley Litwiller; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Elma (Paul) Gerdes of Peoria; and one brother, John (Shirley) Andrews of Morton.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
William worked as an office authorization analyst for Caterpillar Inc. at the Morton Parts Distribution Center for 40 years, retiring in February 1986.
He was a member of Grace Church in Morton, where he served as a church usher for many years.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Grace Church in Morton, with Pastor Doug Habegger officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:15 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Groveland Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
