Elizabeth Code Obituary

BUDA - Elizabeth "Liz" F. Code, 73 of Buda, Ill., passed away at 12:55 a.m. Dec. 23, 2011, in her home in Buda.

Born Jan. 15, 1938, to Franz and Emilie (Lang) Waldinger in Princeville, Ill., she married Phil J. Code on March 2, 1957, in Bradford, Ill. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, James (Debbie) Code of Gilbert, Ariz., Jack (Kathleen) Code of Naperville, Ill., Don (Lorna) Code of DeKalb, Ill., and Matt (Jennifer) Code of Frankfort, Ill.; three daughters, Julie (Brian) Kraftzenk of Lithia Springs, Ga., Karen (Mike) Dexter of Crown Point, Ind., and Angie (Amar) Patel of Lombard, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Frank (Alice) Waldinger of Bradford, Ill., Henry (Paulette) Waldinger of Bradford, Ill., Clarence (Kathy) Waldinger of Sciota, Ill., and Tom Waldinger of Baltimore, Md.; and two sisters, Virginia (Ted) Gilles of Princeville, Ill., and Ruth (Don) Stahl of Princeville, Ill.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Waldinger.

She graduated from Bradford High School in 1955. Liz was the head cook at Bradford Grade School for 24 years. She was a very active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bradford, and the Altar & Rosary Society.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bradford. The Rev.Vien Van Do will officiate. Inurnment will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, rural Bradford. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, with a rosary service at 7 p.m.

Phil & Family~
So sorry to hear of your Wife and mother's passing. May you feel God's arms around you comforting and strengthening each one. I have many memories of Liz cooking and serving lunch when I was in school. She had a warm smile and was a cheerful woman. Cherish the memories that you have of her.
