Our Sincere Sympathy to Dok's family. Knowing Dok as my family's service writer. Excellent is not high enough to give him as a wonderful person. Exceptional work ethic, exceptional human being. Dok is a person you would trust because he proved honestly he did the best for you. His life ended to short for all of us.

To the family of Bob, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My late husband and I have dealt with him for many years at Dennisons in Pekin. He was a very very nice, competent, and thorough person. I am sure he will be missed by many. I will remember him with a smile as he always greeted me with each time I drive past or go to Dennisons for auto service.

Susan, Brian,and Chris,
I feel so very fortunate to have had your
Father for my Brother-In-Law..I just remember his great sense of humor and how
he treated "everybody" with great respect
and compassion..We will all get thru
this, it will take a lot of time. Just
remember all of the good memories we "ALL" had with him..We know he is in
heaven now talking about cars, planes,
or trains,,,it breaks my heart when I
think about him being taken from us too
soon...We loved him dearly.

Bob was more than a 'volunteer' at Mike's Scale Rails. He was our Brother, a confidante, always smiling, always had a great sense of humor - it just won't be the same without him. This hole in our hearts will take a long time to heal. Our world got a little bit smaller with Bob's passing.

We lived next-door to Bob and his family on Ridge Road in the late 1970s. We remember Bob's great sense of humor and his generosity. After a snowstorm he could be found on his green John Deere tractor clearing all the sidewalks on Ridge Road. We also remember him giving our son Jeremy fun rides on the same tractor. Our heartfelt condolences to the entire Doktor family.

Dok was "my" service guy at Dennison's after my husband died. I could trust him to tell me the truth about what my car needed and not just taking advantage of my being on my own. I was thinking about him a week or two ago and knew that if I bot a Chevy again, I would get it at Dennisons because of Dok. He was a good guy.

Alan was right....Dok never met a stranger! His happy face made you smile even if you were sad! Some people touch your life in a way that no words can explain and Dok was most definately one of those people! He was a great co-worker and most importantly I could trust him to take care of my parents when they came to see him with their service needs. My prayers are with your family. You will be truly missed dear Dok.....you will be truly missed................

As a co-worker, there are millions of wonderful things I could say about Dok, but the thing that sticks out the most in my mind is that every customer that walked in the door wasn't a stranger to him, just a new friend that he hadn't met yet. He served as an inspiration to us all, and my heart truly is saddened by the loss of someone whom I have looked up to for many years. I wish his family well during this trying time, and my thoughts are with them forever and always as we say our goodbyes.

I was so surprised & saddened to hear about Bob's passing. I still refer to your old house on Ridge Rd as "the Doktor's house".
I read this Eskimo Proverb years ago & think it seems very comforting at a time like this. I hope it can bring you some peace and comfort.

I'm going to miss Doc, when times got busy at work he would come over with a work order and sometimes I would complain about how much work I had, he would end up making me laugh and work got done. I told Doc every week "I may complain about how much work you give me...but thank you for pushing me" God bless you Doc

I met "Doc" in 2000 as a customer at Ray Dennison. He was (my very own) service writer. Over the years we became friends. He went out of his way to do things for me. Every time I'd call for an appointment we would talk for a few moments to see how things were. I've never known a more kind and gentle person. My prayers are with his family and as a vet a special prayer for his son in the service. I will miss him deeply. GOD bless you my friend.

Mary,
I was shocked to hear of Bob. Bob and I were partners in taking inventory at the Train store - we had so much fun. He did so much to help my brother at the store in addition to being a good friend. He is going to be missed by so many who's lives he touched - including me.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
