Loren Markley Obituary
CREVE cOEUR - Loren Dean Markley, 74, of Creve Coeur, formerly of Fairview and Canton, died at 5:59 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born Sept. 21, 1931, in Ellisville to Arthur and Ethel Cooper Markley.
He married Mary Mahr on March 12, 1954, in Canton. She survives.
Surviving are one daughter, Linda Markley of Peoria; two sons, Terry of Creve Coeur and Brad (Debbie) Markley of Bartonville; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
One son, Larry Dean; two brothers; and one sister preceded him in death.
He retired from Caterpillar in 1987 after 38 years of service.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. The Rev. Kevin Kessler will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Fairview.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
