groveland- Donald Eugene Conley, 76, of Cooke-ville, Tenn., formerly of Groveland, Ill., passed away at 3:19 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.
He was born the son of Ronald and Corabell Johnson Conley on Sept. 6, 1935, in Hobart, Ind.
He married Suzette Phelps in Washington, Ill., on Dec. 31, 1993. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John Dane Conley of Peoria, Ill., and Christopher Bryant of Tacoma, Wash.; and one granddaughter, Savahana Conley.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Earl Conley.
He worked for many years as a union painter through Local No. 157.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be a celebration of life dinner on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at 1 p.m. Please RSVP his family at (309) 446-3780.
Schmidt-Haller Burial and Cremation Services, Peoria, Ill., is handling arrangements.
