Homemaker lived to 100
PEORIA - Agnes "Marie" Durbin, 100, of Peoria passed away at 12:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Cornerstone.
Marie was born on Feb. 16, 1913, in Taylorville, Ill., to William Raymond and Anna Pha (McKinney) Crowe. She married Oscar Leo Durbin on Sept. 25, 1934, in Illiopolis, Ill. He preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1998, in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one grandson.
She is survived by three sons, Donald (Nina) Durbin of Laguna Woods, Calif., David Durbin of Studio City, Calif., and Joseph (Valerie) Durbin of Metamora; two daughters, Joan (William) Black of Pahrump, Nev., and Diane (Gregory) Seaney of Bullhead City, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Fishburn and Meda Jane King, both of Auburn, Ill., Imogene Hogan of Divernon, Ill., and Phoebe Olivier of Laguna Woods, Calif.; two brothers, Robert (Mary Helen) Crowe of Springfield, Ill., and William (Patricia) Crowe of Edwards, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Lay Carmelite community since 1964.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kickapoo. Father Joseph Dondanville will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with recitation of the rosary preceding at 4:45 p.m. An additional visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
