EAST PEORIA - Betty R. Eisenhauer, age 75, of East Peoria passed away at 11:04 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at the Apostolic Christian Restmor Home in Morton, Ill.
She was born in Jackson County, Ill., to Edward R. and Lena A. Grohman Pugh. Betty married Harold D. Eisenhauer in 1949. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Betty was employed at Robein Grade School in East Peoria for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1999.
She was a member of the East Peoria Youth Council and was of the Lutheran faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Terry (Andrew) Buhs Jr. of Washington, Ill., and Denise (Gary) Jacobson of Eureka, Ill., her sons-in-law, Jim McMahon and Jim Crouch; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Gloria Perry of Murphysboro, Ill.; and five nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Jackie McMahon and Marla Crouch; and three granddaughters.
Visitation for Betty will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, with Chaplain Linda McKinney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tazewell Animal Protective Society (TAPS), 100 Taps Lane, Pekin, IL 61554 or donor's choice.
