Carl Fauth Obituary

Princeville - Carl T. Fauth, 95, of Princeville died at 11:12 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at his residence.

Carl was born Jan. 28, 1916, in Aurora, Ill., the son of Edward and Martha Fauth. He married Dorothy Kuntz on Aug. 25, 1940, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Curtis (Connie) Fauth of Washington, Ill.; one daughter, Jeannie (Michael) Herrin of Biloxi, Miss.; grandchildren, Lynne (Dean) Proctor of Topeka, Kan., Douglas (Kathy) Fauth of Peoria, Ill., Michelle (Scott Eaton) Herrin of Minneapolis, Minn., Matthew (Erica) Herrin of Topeka, Kan., and Jason (Amanda Fieldhouse) Herrin of Overland Park, Kan.; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, William (Jo) Fauth of Wisconsin.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carlone Sue Fauth; one great-grandchild; two sisters; and three brothers.

Carl was a U.S. Army veteran.

He worked at the grain elevators in Laura and Elmwood as a manager.

Carl was a former board president of Princeville School District 326, and a former choir director at Laura and Princeville United Methodist Churches.

He also was a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be at noon Tuesday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. The Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Princeville United Methodist Church.

Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, is in charge of arrangements.
