Cheryl L. Majors Obituary
Cheryl L. Majors
CHILLICOTHE - Cheryl L. Majors, 62, of Chillicothe meet her Heavenly Father on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Cheryl was born on Dec. 24, 1955, in Peoria, the daughter to Delbert and Kathryn (Bodish) Stamper.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth D. Majors, whom she married on July 5, 2002, in Toledo, OH; her daughters, Sonya (Mike) Stalter of Morton, Tiffany (Joshua) Noel of Morton and Caitlin (Brandon) Kohtz of East Peoria; grandchildren, Brandon, Maddison, Kylie, Owen, Spence, Emersyn, Lily and Oliver; her sister, Marsha Stamper of Pekin; and her mother-in-law, Eileen Rusk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Merrill D. Rusk; and a brother, Delbert M. Stamper.
Cheryl worked for Illinois Mutual Insurance for over 15 years.
Cheryl's children and grandchildren were her life. She also loved hummingbirds, frogs and her beloved dog, Spike. She loved shopping, reading, drinking coffee and all things sweet. She had the best sense of humor, the most contagious smile and such a generous heart. Therefore, her family chose to keep her spirit alive by graciously donating her earthly body to the Gift of Hope.
A memorial service will be held on 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Majors Scholarship Fund FBO Grandchildren.
