PEORIA - Elizabeth "Beth" Yakoff Bisiaux, 85, of Peoria passed away peacefully from this life at 12:59 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, in Peoria.

She was born on April 5, 1929, in Peoria at her family home to George and Mary Yakoff.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arthur Bisiaux; her brothers, George Jr., Peter and Frances "Frankie" Yakoff, all of Peoria; her sisters, Mary Tucek and Margaret Ohl, both of Peoria; and a nephew, John Farris.

Elizabeth is survived by her two sisters, Kathryn Gryz of Chicago and Rosemary Farris of Peoria; and is an aunt to many. She was blessed to have a daughter, Cheryl Bisiaux Cummings, and her son-in-law, Jeffrey Lowel Cummings, of Georgia. She is a Grandma-mar of two granddaughters, Natasha Krog Voorhees and husband, Donald Voorhees, of Tennessee and Tanesha Cummings Scarbrough and husband, Lee E. Scarbrough III, of Georgia. She is a great-grandmother of five children, Stefan Sundberg and Michele Voorhees of Tennessee and Braxton, Jaden and Sage Scarbrough of Georgia.

Elizabeth and her husband, Arthur Bisiaux, owned Art's All American Body Shop in Peoria.

Elizabeth graduated from St. Boniface and attended the Academy of Our Lady. She was a faithful parishioner with a "reserved back row seat" at St. Ann's Catholic Church.

Elizabeth was proud to be a Yakoff and was true to her Hungarian and Yugoslavian heritage. She will always be remembered as dressing her part of the classy lady she was. Elizabeth was also known for her kindness and generosity. She was proud of her amazing baking talents. She loved to cook and share her treats of pinch ups, mini pizzas and Hungarian cookies. She always had a cold sodie on hand to offer and enjoyed sitting on her front porch for over 53 years.

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at St. Ann's Church, with Fr. Terry Cassidy officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Peoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church of Peoria.
