Grandpa/ great-grandpa, you will be missed in so many ways! Although some of us didn't get to verbally say good bye, you knew that we loved you deeply. When we mention your name now, Josie immediatly says that you are with Jesus. What an awesome testimony! I know you are with the Lord now cheering us all on.
Love you!

Kim and Family,
My heart sank when you told me that your dad passed away. I'm sure you feel very blessed with all of your memories, and what a list. I'm thinking of the pee green mustang your dad got for you in high school. How many people did we fit in that for open lunch? The dragon wagon?
I'm thinking of you.

Aunt Marilyn & cousins,
Oh how greatly Uncle Ernie will be missed. Not hearing "Jules" from him will have to take some getting use to. I will always remember him & Ben singing the "Hat" song at Thanksgiving. Just know that mom & him are looking over all of us now and some day we will all see them again. We love you all!

We love you very much, and you are greatly missed, Grandpa. It was your prayer, not ours, that was answered. We all know that you're in Heaven rejoicing and singing with the angels. Oh, what a joy that must be! We will all see you again some day, and may you rest in peace.
Love,
Jeff & Rebecca Layer

DEAR MARILYN AND FAMILY, I AM SADLY DEEPENED BY ERNIE'S DEATH. I AM GLAD I GOT TO SPEND SOME TIME IN TALKING WITH HIM AT HELEN'S FUNERAL AT OUR CHURCH. I DID NOT KNOW HE WAS THAT ILL UNTIL I TALKED TO HIM. I WAS HOPING HE WOULD MAKE IT UNTIL WE GOT BACK TO PEORIA. WE SPEND THE WINTERS IN MELBOURNE,FL. IT HAS BEEN COOL HERE BUT I KNOW THE TEMP HAS BEEN REALLY COLD THERE. HERE IS HOPING GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH THIS ORDEAL AND WILL TALK TO YOU WHEN WE GET BACK. I WAS PLANNING ANOTHER GET TO GETHER FOR OUR CLASS. SO MANY ARE LEAVING US FASTER NOW. TAKE CARE AND WILL TALK LATER. GOD BLESS AND LOVE SHIRLEY RAKER BARBER AND HUSBAND RUSSELL. `
