PEKIN - Etta Faye Riviere, 72, of Pekin passed away at 5:42 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at Pekin Manor.
Born July 29, 1941, in Mount Carmel to Russell Ray and Ethel Faye (Montgomery) Hershey, she married Larry Franklin Riviere on Dec. 10, 1983, in Morton. He died March 20, 2006, in Peoria.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Hershey and Russell Hershey; and two sisters, Charlotte Daniels and Shirley Hershey.
Surviving are one brother, James (Lana) Hershey of Mesa, Ariz.; and three sisters, Diana Towery and Pat (Mike) Earhart, both of Pekin, and Debra (Charles) Hocking of Mount Carmel.
Etta had worked at Pekin Abstract and Title for several years. Previously, she worked at Thrifty's Drug Store in downtown Pekin.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin, where she volunteered in the church food pantry.
Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. The Rev. Betty Hornback will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
