Glenn Lawler Obituary
EDWARDS - Glenn B. Lawler, 65, of Edwards passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 10, 2018.
Glenn was born in Belleville, IL, on November 30, 1952, to Ward Glenn Lawler and Jesse Fairlene Lane Lawler.
Glenn is survived by Martha (Fisher), his wife of 41 years; their two sons, John Lane (Jennifer) Lawler and Adam Douglas Lawler; and grandchildren, Ella and Noah Lawler. He is also survived by his brother, Ted (Chris) Lawler of Mount Vernon, Iowa; brother, Greg (Angela) Lawler; and sister, Angela Lawler Prang, both of Bloomington, Illinois. Other survivors include thirteen nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Glenn attended public schools in Normal, Illinois, and graduated with a finance degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1974. His career began at Caterpillar in 1974, working as a pricing analyst. In 1978, he began working for ClarkLift in Sacramento, California. Prior to the birth of his second son, Glenn returned to Illinois, and founded Incode Systems in 1982, a software development company. Glenn loved his work and frequently said he could not imagine retiring because he loved what he did so much.
Glenn enjoyed motorcycle rides, playing guitar, flying small aircraft, woodworking, electronics, family get-togethers and a good bourbon.
Glenn was a warm-hearted person who enjoyed life and was devoted to his family. To know him was to love him. He was always good for a laugh and was incredibly tender-hearted toward animals. He took devoted care of his wife and also his mother-in-law as her health has declined. He was always faithful to remember birthdays. He was trusted as the "keeper" for his extended family, anything entrusted to Glenn would be well-cared for and safe.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Moss Avenue. A service will follow visitation.
Memorial donations may be made to Foster Pet Outreach.

Martha and Family,
I was just shocked to hear of the passing of Glen from Vic,I have a lot of memories of you both from the old neighborhood.Glen was way too young to pass. I can see it now; Sam, Arthur and Glen, what a threesome in heaven. Martha, all your great moments and memories will get you through the tough times ahead.
