BUSHNELL - James W. Livermore, age 80, of Bushnell, Ill., passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Ill.
Jim was born on March 2, 1933, in Burlington, Iowa, to Leonard and Mildred Engle Livermore. He married Judith Ann Venable on Aug. 9, 1959, in Pittsfield, Ill., and she preceded him in death in 1987. He later married Diana L. Schrodt on Dec. 16, 1989.
Jim is survived by his wife, Diana of Bushnell, Ill.; three sons, Doug Livermore of Bushnell, Ill., and David and Dan Livermore, both of Macomb, Ill.; one daughter, Debby (Dale) Kaffer of Macomb, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Jim was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Max Livermore.
Jim was a very intelligent man who was passionate about sports, especially the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family including his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He worked as a salesman for Morrell Farm Service for many years.
He retired from Western Illinois University as a custodian where he worked from 1997 until his retirement in 2004.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell, Ill. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Raritan Cemetery.
