MORTON - B. June Sheely, 80, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Morton, died at 8:15 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, in Jacksonville.
She was born April 11, 1930, in Peoria to Charles C. and Vera (Wheat) Turner. She married Richard Diskin in 1949 in Peoria. She later married Paul E. Sheely on Nov. 16, 1996, in Springfield. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Hoy Turner.
Surviving are one daughter, Michelle (Steve) Baughman of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three sons, Michael (Rosangela) Diskin of Jacksonville, Fla., Mark Diskin of Peoria and W. Scott Diskin of Grand Junction, Colo.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three stepchildren, Cathy (Dean) Nestrud of Morton, Paula (Mike) Hartman of Congerville and Greg (Tracy) Sheely of Morton; 10 stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
June owned a retail lingerie shop in Jacksonville, Fla., for 19 years, retiring in 1989. She previously worked in real estate sales at Stockton, Whatley, Davin Realty in Jacksonville.
She was a member of the Fort Caroline Methodist Church in Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Board of Realtors.
Cremation has been accorded. A graveside service with burial of the cremated remains will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton, with the Rev. Dr. Arville Renner officiating. Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home in Morton is handling local arrangements.
