CHILLICOTHE - Kenneth A. "Ken" Karman, 69, of Chillicothe died on Monday, July 1, 2013, at 7:15 p.m. at Heritage Health Center in Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. The Rev. Ted Mitchell and the Rev. Raymond Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery with military rites.
Ken was born in St. Louis, Mo., on July 20, 1943, the son of Allen V. and Ivy M. (Myer) Karman. He married Marjorie Bradley on April 20, 2007, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Ken operated his CPA Practice in Chillicothe. He also was business manager for the Chillicothe Independent. In 2008 he merged his practice into Greim & Co.
Ken was an Air Force veteran, a lifetime member of the Chillicothe Historical Society, a lifetime member of the University of Missouri-St. Louis Alumni Association, a life member of the American Legion Post 9, an Eagle Scout and a member of The Order of the Arrow.
Ken is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Chillicothe; a daughter, Kendra Karman of Orlando, Fla.; two stepsons, Jeffrey (Lindy) Vonk and Bradley (Alicia) Vonk, both of Chillicothe, a stepdaughter, Kathryn (Eric Frye) Vonk of Minneapolis, Minn.; and two stepgrandchildren.
