PEKIN - Kevin Mark Malavolti, 52, of Pekin passed away at 6:52 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the Resurrection Medical Center emergency room in Chicago.
Born Sept. 6, 1959, in Pekin to Robert and Frances Elizabeth (Hamilton) Malavolti, he married Brenda Kay (Martin) Graber on Dec. 30, 2004, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Fran Malavolti of Pekin; two stepdaughters, Breanne (Luke) Dennis of Bloomington and Jacie Graber of Pekin; four stepgrandchildren, Thaden Gould, Scarlett Gould, Braden Dennis and Lydia Dennis; one sister, Stacey (Ron) Aneloski of Pekin; one niece, Ashley Aneloski; and one nephew, Bryce Aneloski.
His father preceded him in death on April 2, 1985.
Kevin worked for Tyco Integrated Security (formerly ADT Commercial Security) for the past 17 years, last working Thursday as a senior application manager. He traveled nationally and internationally working on federal security projects.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, reading, traveling and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Kevin was a fun and humorous person who loved life and his job.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
