Laura Ann Ross Kellenberger
WASHINGTON - Laura Ann Ross Kellenberger, 46, of Washington, IL, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL.
She was born on April 14, 1972, in Cleveland, OH, to Carl A. and Eileen M. Krasovec Ross.
Surviving are her parents, Carl and Linda Ross of Washington, IL; daughter, Anabella Rose Kellenberger of Towanda, IL; siblings, Kelly (Hans) Ritter of Washington, IL, Ashley Street of Nashville, TN, and Austin (Ashley) Street of Washington, IL; brother-in-law, Mike Mamer of Washington, IL; six nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen; and sister, Lisa Mamer.
Laura was a 1990 Washington Community High School graduate, where she was an Honor Student and Homecoming Queen. She attended the University of Illinois, where she was in the pre-med program. Laura was a hard-working young woman who could make the best Long Island Iced Tea. Due to her love of children, she worked as a nanny and child care provider and was blessed to also shower that love on her daughter, Anabella. Together they enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, when she wasn't busy baking chocolate chip cookies.
A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. Father John Steffen will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018, at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, where recitation of the Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
The family would like to thank all of the dedicated physicians and caregivers throughout Laura's illness.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Healthcare Foundation for Huntington's Disease.
