BLOOMINGTON - Dr. Laura B. Clay, 40, of Bloomington passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Visitation services will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, with a memorial service at 4 p.m., at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington.
Laura was born on June 10, 1973, in Champaign, Ill., to Susan J. (Hall) and Robert R. Clay.
She received her BS from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and graduated from medical school at Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center in 2003. She served her medical residency through the University of Illinois in Peoria, with Methodist Medical Center.
She was employed by OSF Medical Group in Clinton and Heyworth.
She is survived by her parents, Susan J. Clay of Bloomington and Robert R. Clay of Denver, Colo.; her son, Jackson Wyatt Clay of Bloomington; her brother, Matthew A. Clay, and her sister-in-law, Carolyn J. (Beaty) Clay of Bloomington; her aunt, Barbara N. Wilks of Fort Worth, Texas; her uncle, Jeffrey L. Hall of Lake Bloomington; her uncle, George L. Clay of North Richland Hills, Texas; her niece, Alexis V.I. Clay of Bloomington; her nephew, Nicholas C.A. Clay of Bloomington; and cousins, Michael, Richard, Amy and Chad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Laura B. Clay Memorial Fund, c/o Busey Bank, for the benefit of her son, Jackson, or a charity of donor's choice.
