DUNLAP - Marian J. Aeschliman, 81, of Dunlap passed away at 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
She was born April 20, 1930, in West Union, Iowa, to William M. and Pearl V. (Larson) Pape. She married Lee Aeschliman in West Union on May 28, 1950. He died Feb. 22, 2001, in Peoria.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Scott) Carson of Dunlap; and two sons, Randy Aeschliman of Peoria and Brad (Sherry) Aeschliman of Chillicothe. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, one brother, William Pape; and one granddaughter, Abbey Aeschliman; preceded her in death.
Marian worked in the personnel-human resources department at Caterpillar Inc., retiring in 1991. She later returned to Caterpillar, working as an employment interviewer. For the past five years she had worked as a hostess at OSF Center for Health.
She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Dunlap.
Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at Salem Lutheran Church with the Revs. Stephen Barnes and Elise Rothfusz officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. There will be an additional visitation at the church Friday one hour prior to the service. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
