EAST PEORIA - Marjorie A. Ambrosch, 80, of East Peoria passed away at 6:38 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Marjorie was born Jan. 5, 1932, at the family farm in Deer Creek, Ill., to William and Alice Crangle White. On June 9, 1951, she married the love of her life, Edward A. Ambrosch at St. Mark's Church in Peoria. He survives.
Marjorie is also survived by two sons, Rick (Cyndi) Ambrosch of East Peoria and Doug (Kelli) Ambrosch of Germantown Hills; four grandchildren, Alissa and Sadie Ambrosch of East Peoria and Josh and Jared Ambrosch of Germantown Hills; and two sisters, Irene Strother of Morton and Ellen Kamp of Deer Creek.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jacob Ambrosch and by her brother, Gene White.
She worked part time at Bergner's in Sheridan Village for over 25 years.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10. Msgr. Jason Gray will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 9, at Wright and Salmon Mortuary. Recitation of the rosary will be held at 6:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the Mass on Tuesday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Wright and Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
