MORTON - Mary E. Stoutenborough, 84, of Morton passed away peacefully at 2 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1928, in Decatur, Ill., the daughter of Louise Gordon Davidson. She married Raymond Ross Stoutenborough on Aug. 31, 1947, in Clay County, Ark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 1993.

Also preceding her in death were her mother and one daughter, Carol, in 1971.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda (Mel) Krendick of Dunlap, Cathy (Dennis) Loser of Morton and Sally Stoutenborough of Washington. Also surviving are four sons, David (Julie) Stoutenborough of Chillicothe, Thomas Stoutenborough of Peru, Pieter (Sue) Stoutenborough of Morton and Scott Stoutenborough. Further surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Further surviving are several half-brothers and one half-sister.

Mary worked for the Apostolic Christian Home for the handicapped in Morton for 20 years, before retiring.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rosewood Care Center and Passage's Hospice for their loving care.

Cremation rites have been accorded, with a graveside service being held at a later date in Maroa, Ill.

Memorial contributions in her name may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Passages Hospice Illinois.
